Let’s hear it for the Bros!

From the ferocious comic mind of Billy Eichner and the hitmaking brilliance of filmmakers Nicholas Stoller and Judd Apatow comes Bros, a smart, swoony and heartfelt comedy about finding sex, love and romance amidst the madness.

Bros is the fourth LGBTQ romantic comedy by a major legacy studio, and the second to have an openly LGBT principal cast, after Fire Island (2022). Eichner told HipHollywood exclusively it was a long time coming but worth the wait.

“Universal studios has been around for a century and this is the first film they’ve done where the cast is almost all LGBTQIA actors,” he explained. “Thats along time to wait, but we wanted to make a historic movie but also a hilarious movie.”

Eichner stars alongside a colorful cast including Luke Macfarlane, Ts Madison Miss Lawrence, Monica Raymund, Guillermo Díaz, Guy Branum and Amanda Bearse.

“I read for every part in the movie except for the bi-sexual part, because I don’t buy sex, sex buys me,” TS Madison joked. “I read for every part and finally Angela fit.”

“It’s not movie for only the gay community, it’s a movie for the world and a new wave about to happen,”said Miss Lawrence.

“We’ve been forced to watch nothing but straight films and romantic comedies non-stop and now the rules are reversed and now what’s going to happen is we are gong to have a much better appreciation for each others art.”

Bros had its world premiere at the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival on September 9, 2022, and was theatrically released in the United States on September 30, 2022, by Universal Pictures. The film received critical acclaim from critics.
