Following a spectacular Circuit Grounds closeout at Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas earlier this month, 17-year-old electronic music prodigy Moore Kismet is ablaze with artistic momentum. Gearing up to release their debut LP, UNIVERSE on June 24, Dancing Astronaut‘s 2020 Breakout Artist of the Year has dropped a new single, “Wasteland” to tide fans over until the full project’s delivery. Featuring vocals from alt-pop songstress Carlie Hanson, the tune is a poignant one. Complete with emotive lyrics that reflect on a tumultuous relationship and a stirring, compelling soundscape by Kismet, “Wasteland” is one of the young producer’s most exciting outings to date.

“Wasteland is a song I wrote last year about finally having the strength to exit a toxic relationship. Making this song was very cathartic for me as at the time, I was stuck in a toxic relationship as well. It gave me the courage to understand that where I was at was wrong and I needed to be free. I hope that more people can listen to it and be inspired to understand their value in a relationship,” Kismet shared exclusively with Dancing Astronaut.

After making their debut at Ultra Music Festival and Coachella‘s DoLaB for the very first time this year, the eclectic dance producer is headed to Tennessee for their Bonnaroo debut this summer and then heading to NYC in September for their second performance at Electric Zoo.
