That’s why we decided to build a brand new user experience to give a definitive answer to this question, an experience that can deliver the easiest way to discover individual performers behind a song, with a single tap.
Starting today, all Musixmatch users will start seeing performers' tags right on their lyrics, time-synced with the music.
With a simple tap, you can get information about the artists who are singing at any moment during the song and dive into their full discography. Goodbye Google queries, hello in-app discovery!
This feature is designed for music lovers, to help them discover new artists, learn the lyrics to their favorite songs, and gain a deeper appreciation for the performances that make up the music they love. It’s especially useful for songs with numerous featuring artists, helping you discover new collaborators and dive deeper into new music.
With the addition of a new, dedicated, and easy-to-use tool, our beloved community of music superfans is now further empowered to enhance the Musixmatch catalog by tagging artists on lyrics.
In the Musixmatch Curator Studio, just select “Performer” among the “Tag” option, and tag the performers corresponding to the lyrics that they are singing. And if the performer you are looking for isn’t automatically displayed as a featured artist, you can search for more performers in our best-in-class music database.
This new type of contribution is available today on mobile and desktop devices. Enjoy tagging!
