MØ offers a cohesive set of distinct pop gems on third album Motordrome

Ultimately, Motordrome is Ørsted honing and streamlining the formidable songwriting and performative talents displayed on 2014’s No Mythologies to Follow and 2018’s inexplicably underrated Forever Neverland. There’s also the notable eschewing of guest-features, those which diversified but also occasionally diluted previous work. A move perhaps made to heighten the projects cohesion and cogency. Motordrome is a multifaceted delight and an early contender for pop album of the year.
