George Benjamin will be the subject of a composer focus at the Barbican on 18 and 19 March.
The two-day event comprises a semi-staged performance of Benjamin’s opera Written on Skin, conducted by the composer and performed by the Mahler Chamber Orchestra (19 March); the UK premiere of Dream of the Song (18 March); and a lunchtime event featuring George Benjamin in conversation and performances of his chamber music by pianist George King and members of the Mahler Chamber Orchestra (19 March, LSO St Lukes).
