Less Than Jake given key to city of Gainesville

Less Than Jake have been given the Key to Gainesville. The recognition will take place during the band's homecoming celebration- plays two shows as part of the "Wake & Bake Festival" at Vivid Music Hall on March 13 and 14. District IV Commissioner Bryan Eastman stated that he first heard Less Than Jake’s seventh studio album, GNV FLA when he was 18 and that he could not think of another group that has written more songs and albums about the city. He added, " I don’t think it’s 100% the reason I came to Gainesville, as there were several reasons, but certainly "GNV FLA," like so many albums by bands around the world, created a picture that was enticing and put it on a pedestal."
