Interviews: Talking 'Emo Revival' with Andrew Sacher

New York-based music journalist, podcaster, and former BrooklynVegan editor Andrew Sacher is getting ready to release his authorial debut, Emo Revival: Community, DIY, and Rebirth in Post-Hardcore and Emo (2008-2018). Drawing from hours of interviews with bands including Algernon Cadwallader, Title Fight, Joyce Manor, Modern Baseball, Touché Amoré, The Menzingers, Tigers Jaw, PUP, and The World Is A Beautiful Place and I Am No Longer Afraid to Die along with incredibly detailed accounts of live shows, Andrew paints a transportive picture of an often overlooked, but extremely pivotal, era of music. Along with talking about the albums and songs that shaped the era, Andrew delves into the real magic of these ten years: the powerful community that sprang out of the scene, something that is driven home by the powerful cover photo of Snowing's farewell show which was taken by Dan Bassini.
