Clash to reissue 'The World according to the Clash' promo sampler... out via Concord Music Group
Published: October 02, 2026

In 1982,
The Clash released the promo-only sampler
The World according to the Clash. It served as a way to inform DJs and record stores about the Clash and had tracks from across the band's history, with an emphasis on their two most recent LPS,
Sandinista and
Combat rock. The band is now releasing a new version. The new version has a new cover and is remastered. the tracklist remains the same. that's out on CD and LP via Concord music group on November 12. However, perhaps more interesting is that, per Rough Trade record distro, this release is the first time that Concord has released a Clash record. Concord is the massive music and publishing company that in the past, has purchased band's entire catalogs, including
The Offspring. Previously, all Clash music was on CBS/Epic/Columbia. Does this suggest that Concord has purchased the rights to the Clash's music?
