New Orleans Jazz Funeral

Mickey Bones, the band leader of the Hot Tamale Brass Band has lived in New Orleans. He has first hand experience in playing for New Orleans Jazz funerals and has played for many of them in that beautiful Crescent City. Mickey been a professional musician since 1979 and has been playing the music of New Orleans almost exclusively since 1983. He had a regular appearance with his band, on Bourbon Street, six nights a week and has performed two consecutive years at the New Orleans Jazz Festival. After returning to the Boston area in 1992, he formed the Hot Tamale Brass Band from Boston MA , which has been together for eighteen years.
