NEHËMAH is a Black Metal project born the 31st of October 1992. The demo "Light of a Dead Star" (1995), recorded with Eligor (guitars), is the fruit of nightmares and dark entities which haunt Csrve?.

The convictions of the band were to stay underground, so only 166 copies were distributed. After this, Csrve? stopped the project for personnal reasons.

It's only in the Autumn 2000 that the band guaranteed a return with a whole lot more potential and inner strength as well as a full new line-up. Eligor was replaced by Nocturn, Dargon went behind the kit, and Csrve? assured the bass and vocals.

In march 2001, some songs off "Light Of A Dead Star" were re-recorded with a better sound quality and the discreet assistance of a couple of French labels.

In the middle of summer 2001, the arrival of Sorghal reinforced the guitar lines in order to create the album "Light of a Dead Star".

While recording "Shadows From the Past." (which is the next and last part of the demo), Nocturn left NEHËMAH.

The spirit of NEHËMAH circles constantly around suicidal thoughts, Sumerian / Assyrian mythology, Cabal, rave?s & death; the odours that it imprints in our mind, the nightmares, an homage to the most demented women (witches) of history, to the goddesses and nocturnal entity. NEHËMAH is an Aramean pseudonym for the reptilian Lilith :

"The black moon, the shadow, the unconscious driven by blacknened pulses, queen of ghouls and first wife of "Adam". Follow the Black Angel Samaël with the heart of a rave?, the flight of Lilith, the brushing of her black and cold wings , her screams of distress and death in the night, inhabited by troubled specters, awaken the most profound and forgotten terrors of human memory."

Csrve? welcomed 2 new musicians into the band and they recorded their first album with producer L. Tournier.

“Light Of A Dead Star” was finally released in Winter 2002. The critics were soon unanimous. NEHËMAH offered us the black-metal gem that France was waiting for years. All over the world, the reviews revered NEHËMAH's opus!!

NEHËMAH recorded its second album during summer 2002.

The band hit the road for its first french tour at the end of September and beginning of October.

“Shadows From The Past” was released in january 2003 and crowned NEHËMAH as the leader of the French Black Metal scene.

After the "From the Past Tour…" in October 2002, several composition emerged from the misty lands of Oris?/Sirius and reached the Earth through the rave?-spirit of NEHËMAH.

During 3 weeks, Csrve? stayed focus in order to process all this arcane wisdom sent by the dreaming dead, the “Great Old Ones”.

“Requiem Tenebrae” was taking form.

Their dreams and the Necronomicon’s riddles are present in the structures and the melodies of this esoteric-album. Some songs are also “haunted” by the rave?-spirit created in the dark recesses of Csrve?'s mind.

For sure, NEHËMAH has created a new masterpiece of black metal.

Their fourth full-length album will be tentatively released soon via Avantgarde Music.

"That which is not dead which can eternal lie, and with strange eons even death may die."
