The ORTHOTONES

Orthotones, means, Correct-Sounds and Correct-Messages (Ortho is Greek for 'right' or 'correct').
This group consists of two blood-brothers living in Canada. They strive to make creative, quality musical compositions which cover various genres of instrumental music such as various styles of hip-hop (especially golden era, jazzy and soulful hip-hop & boom bap), trip-hop, acid jazz, chill-out, lounge, dub, experimental, fusion and ethnic sounds. They have been around for over a decade, but have kept their profile very low (super underground), and haven't shared their music with many people yet. But they figured now is the time to release the unreleased and new projects.
The Orthotones combine the art of digging in the crates for very rare & dusty samples (sampling), with acoustic and digital/synth sounds in their production. They also write rhymes and have a great love for poetry. They make instrumentals and beats for rhymes.
They are traditionalists who like to hold unto that which has been passed down, and for instance, preserve the authentic and true sound of pure hip-hop with their own flavour and creative twist (signature sounds) to it.
In short, these brothers simply like to make music from the center of the soul, the heart, and not conform to the spirit of the times and trends.
