Nawshus (Cory Baker) defines a boom bap, battle-braggadocio, socially conscious, complex, rhyme metophoric emcee. Though only a name at first, it's true significance stands for being sick and tired of formulaic-pop oriented music and present day societal conflicts. Early stages of emceeing were influenced by, uncle, Mad Lion of former Boogie Down Productions and, father, NightRida of local DJ crew Vital 2000. Originally from the streets of Flatbush-Brooklyn, N.Y.C. - current residency lies in Broward County, FL. Nawshus is one-third a portion of the talented trio "The DeadBeats Writers Lab" (or D.B.W.L.). The crew has rocked many stages with artist like:
