Drummer Will Calhoun has come full circle in his career which spans some 30 years. The two-time Grammy Award winning drummer is best known for his years with the groundbreaking rock group Living Colour and collaboration with Wayne Shorter and Black Jack Johnson. Over the years the Bronx, New York native has backed the likes of Marcus Miller, B.B. King, Herb Alpert, Dr. John, and Pharoah Sanders.

His latest Motema Records release "Life In This World" features is trio with special guests Ron Carter, Donald Harrison, and Wallace Roney. The new recording takes him back to his jazz roots while keeping a connection the architects of the jazz music to keep Will rooted to where this music going in the future. Will the master percussionist also teaches and gives seminars all over the world to educate musicians about their roots which stem from Africa.
