Narjahanam

Hailing from the lands of Dilmun, the gardens of eden (Bahrain) Narjahanam was founded by Mardus in mid 2004 as a side project of Gravedom, later joined by Busac of Smouldering In Forgotten early 2005. Inspired by the Middle Eastern mythology and culture. Narjahanam infused extreme metal with Arabian/middle eastern folk music. Influenced by bands such as Orphaned Land and Nile.
Started with a rehearsal demo under the name of "The Eastern Skies" Having recorded songs with English and Arabic lyrics, however, the demo was not released. Narjahanam recorded single tracks and been released through the internet on Myspace.com, such as Al Jihad, later signed an album deal with the Russian record label Haarbn Productions and released Narjahanam's first album "Undama That'hur Al Shams Mn Al Gharb" or "When the sun rises from the west". The album received many feedbacks gaining regional and international popularity.
