Nana de Carlo

Nana de Carlo started playing shows in March 2008, originally a 4-piece of high school sophomores with guitarist/singer Christian Vargas, guitarist Anthony Ferrario, bassist Matt C. and drummer Matthew Meloney. The band added keyboardist Lalo Angel in October of that year and recently added singer Michael Peterson to the line-up in May 2009 to complete the sound they were looking for. The band quickly became recognized as a must-see live act around the Napa Valley and wasn’t long before the band started expanding into other Bay Area cities. The band has played at some well known venues including: Slim’s in SF, The Shop in Sonoma, Bottom of the Hill in SF, The Phoenix Theatre in Petaluma, The Napa Valley Opera House, Club Retro in Orangevale – winning 2nd place in a 3 day battle of the bands featuring 30 bands, Veterans Park Amphitheatre in Napa, 19 Broadway in Fairfax and more. They have also been featured as musical guests on the Napa radio show Kellie in the Morning twice, were featured on local tv show PappyHour and also had a song on rotation on the Ozcat Radio playlist. The band fueled their entrance into the music scene with a demo of a few very roughly recorded songs, but recently finished recording what will be their first E.P, scheduled to be released late 2009.
