Naked Jungle is a world/rock fusion trio that performs an eclectic mix of grooves. The group's musical foundation is rhythm based, focusing on drums, percussion, and bass(es) to create an original sound and primal feel. Tribal drumming collides with modern electronica, odd meters, and active bass grooves, melodies and soundscapes. Rhythm is the pulse of life, it is in everything and in everyone. This universal rhythm is sometimes chaotic and sometimes structured and so the music of Naked Jungle is both improvised and composed. This drum & bass focused music, being the core of many styles of music, appeals to a wide variety of people, resulting in the group performing shows with a variety of genres, such as rock, world fusion, jazz/funk, prog. rock, electronica, jam bands and even heavy metal. We often perform within and alongside our sister band Telesma (myspace.com/telesma) and with The Egyptian Sun bellydancers. The combination of music and dance gives the audience an outlet to explore our primal roots. And Jonesy's fireblowing (outdoor shows) only adds to the primative vibe of the music. Recording for the group's debut album is underway and live recordings are circulating already.



The unique sound and visual experience of Naked Jungle appeals to the primal spirit and natural groove within everyone.
