Eva O

Being a veteran in the Gothic world Eva O started her career of music in 1983. With a dark sided trio called Super Heroines. This was her first band and being the primary writer when listening you can hear the over toners of her future music to come.
Eva O has in the past made her self available to fellow musician friends that are in need of a guitarist or singer. This in turn has landed her talents on several recordings.
She has also been know as an associate of Rozz Williams for sometime now. Writing, singing and playing her guitar on many infamous Christian Death records and countless performances.
She never felt she was a member of Christian Death but prefers to be thought of as a friend who was there when Rozz needed her. She was always involved in her own projects and didn't have time to commit her self completely to his band. That is not until Rozz Williams and Eva O decided to create something together. And this is when they started Shadow Project.
Shadow Project is their baby. With their sound, "a strange mix of metallic death rock and punk", and their minds idea's of life, they touched many. Bringing in attention from the under ground. This cult following became dedicated to any project that they dabble in than and still now. Through these past projects is where Eva O attained the title of being the "Queen of Darkness". She has a way with words merciless and un sugar coated, her sultry vocals and never to forget that raw edge guitar could leave you a bit vulnerable at her performances.
The past few years she has not been seen much in the public eye due to major changes in her life. But these things never kept her away from creating and fine tuning her concepts. During this time she contributed songs to a few compilations and was able to release a solo recording on Cleopatra and one last Shadow Project recording for Triple X. Listening to these releases it may seem she has tamed down her attack on the souls of the listeners.
If you have heard Halo Experience "Demons Fall for an Angels Kiss" Produced by Johnny Indovina of " Human Drama" you will get a taste of her experimenting with a lighter touch, more control and a highly polished sound. Coming from one who has been so raw and heavy with her expressions she felt she could only achieve this by giving the reins to Johnny Indovina.
In having Johnny Indovina as a producer she saw that she had a much wider range of possibilities. Not only being able to touch the human heart with big sounds, but also with a whisper. Following this recording she took the lighter side one step further and put down her electric guitar and picked up an acoustic to give one last bow for the long awaited Shadow Project "From the Heart".
After hearing these two recordings you would probably think " has Eva O walked away from the title of darkness?" " Has she traded it for a softer approach?" If this is what you thought, get ready because Damnation "Ride the Madness" is here and it takes her original dark sounds to the extreme bottom. Damnation is just the beginning of her two part story about a conflicting love and a two sided view of Damnation and of Salvation.
The music of Damnation /Salvation is in the vein of "Holding you Close", " Shadow Project- Dreams for the Dying" and One in a Million " Eva O- Past Time" having industrial over tones, with dark samples entwining into keyboard melodies and rhythms that spell out hell.
Currently Eva O in in the Process of recording video and audio with her new partner Edwin Borsheim. This promises to take it past the limitations the world puts out there.
