This is not the real Mystic, nor a representative of her. This is an unofficial fan site intent on spreading real hip hop wit a message. The image of Hip Hop needs to be changed, I don’t take for granted my personal reflection of Hip Hop, that I so dearly cherish, but it would do it justice to see it through a national mirror. Whether we believe it or not, the current dreadful image of black music in today’s generation is affecting black identity all over America. If the majority of mainstream black music is shown and heard as degrading, ignorant, and egocentric, then those characteristics are going to be used as stereotypical masks to cover the black face. I’m not here to be a part of this “invisible man” theory. You know why, because with this horrible social downfall, Hip Hop will be uprooted out of our culture right in front of our eyes. Here’s the industrial strategy they use. First they take a successful Hip Hop artist, help him go platinum, take the word “Hip Hop” away from his name and call him “pop music”, now you got every black kid wanting to be like Mr. “Pop”, totally forgetting that the origin of his music was Hip Hop, simply because of the projected bright lights shown around “Pop” on a national scale. Now, with enough black (Hip Hop) artists being converted to “Pop” music, Hip Hop begins to be uprooted out of our culture, and left out in the open to be scrounged. That’s where the white back packers come in. If you go to any underground Hip Hop show, and take a look around, the majority of the Hip Hop heads will be white…. let the cultural reverse begin! They used the same strategy on rock n’ roll, and now, something that has been considered a cultural movement, a voice for upliftment, unity, and black power……Hip Hop.--Vintage Soul

"I would like for people to understand that I'm moving from a space of just being an artist. And I do what feels good to the soul. I understand all the gaps and boxes and boundaries and all that stuff, but, you know, just listen. Give me an opportunity. That's all. I'm not like some political poster child or some feminist poster child, I'm just kind of like your regular woman, your regular chick."
