Vice Versa

"Music has always translated into a feeling for my mind to amuse itself with" - Mykel Reto



Vice Versa sprouted as a "One Man Band" consisting of Mykel Reto living an unreal 2 years of relaxed insanity during the end of his adolescence. Some days meant no light, no food, or human contact. Mykel would write, record, and play all of the instruments to explain his "realizations" and "stories" knowing that in the future he would someday look back and assess this behavior. After coming out of this meditative state ellipsis from traditional social encounters; things started happening fast. People listened. People spoke. Eventually the thoughts and compositions that were conceived during this period would now move forward to create something extraordinary .



This might explain why the Multi-Genre project, Vice Versa, cant be confused with any other. No one song or tune sounds alike. Why? Because feelings aren't alike, every time we feel, its a new experience. There are rhythms and patterns to our everyday encounters. There are melodies muffled, behind our eyes, when we see or smell something. It doesn't have to be consistent or make sense we are the definition of human nature.



In 2007, the name, Vice Versa, came to represent a group of four artists collaborating in the same vein. Everything from A'capella to Organic Electronica and through animated yet, memorable musical rhythms. It's safe to say Vice Versa sounds likethemselves
