The band draws on influences from all types of music, including surf, rockabilly, country, folk, and punk rock. From these, The Skeletons have carved a sound straight out of the Texas landscape conjuring up images of desolate Texas highways drenched in a dark romanticism and rich in Tex-Mex folklore. From the Continental Club and Antone’s to a sweaty San Marcos dive bar, The Skeletons are winning fans over the old-fashioned way: one show at a time. Call them anything you want, but perhaps the only label that truly fits is “good music."
