Roger Eno was born in Suffolk, England. Back in 1983, he worked with brother Brian and Daniel Lanois to produce the album Apollo: Atmospheres and Soundtracks. Roger signed to Opal Records and produced two albums, Voices and Between Tides, that reinforced comparisons made with Satie and Debussy.

Rather resistant to pigeonholes, Roger then collaborated with labelmate Kate St John before they formed Channel Light Vessel, an alternative supergroup". In more recent years, Roger has produced further interesting collaborations with Peter Hamill, Lol Hammond and Remote partner Miro. He has also guested on albums by Tim Bowness, No-Man and Laraaji among others.

Always working on about five projects at once, his work has been never less than fascinating. He has released a 2-disc binaural recording of his playing late at night in Lincoln Cathedral with two video sections.

His Burning Shed release, Fragile (Music), contains some of the most accomplished compositions and performance work. 2006 also saw the release of Transparencies, a collaboration with Plumbline (Will Thomas).

Since the two simultaneously released 2008 albums, Anatomy and Flood, he has toured prodigiously all over the world with the Rogues Gallery Band, last year with Marianne Faithfull and currently with Tim Robbins.

The new Tim Robbins album with the Rogues Gallery Band, released Sept 27 2010, features Roger on piano and harmonium alongside the cream of British musicians, such as Kate St John, David Coulter and Leo Abrahams.

Always looking ahead, Roger has confirmed a show on March 5, 2011 at the Holywell Music Room in Oxford. See Events for ticket details.
