Murat & Jose

We're hip hop MCs based in Ljubljana, Slovenia. With over 6000 copies of our debut album 'V Besedi Je Moc' (In Word There's Power) sold, we're considered one of region's most successful hip hop artists today.



As most MCs we write all our lyrics & produce majority of our beats. We've contributed to both local & international compilations and albums, and also written for Music Education schoolbooks in Slovenia and contributed lyrics to a schoolbook about Human Rights (released in the UK, Sweden and Slovenia in 2004).



In the UK, our debut album was reviewed in HipHop Connection Magazine and we were also featured in NME in 2005.



Over the past few years, we have toured all over Slovenia and it's neighbor countries. We have also performed in France, Germany, and the UK - Cargo, Rhythm Factory and Mother Bar (all in London).



In 2006 we made a step forward by releasing a joint album with UKs hip hop group BC400. The mad multilingual hip hop colabo entitled YOYOCUTS had been released both in Slovenia and UK in early 2006.



With a little help from our side careers (Murat is also a well skilled beatboxer while Jose is a successful actor) and the people who help us make it happen, our live show is always an intense and entertaining experience and as such well worth seeing. Or at least that's what we've been told.



In 2007 we have formed a full live band to record a new album and tour to support the album's release. The album entitled 'Tuki Not' (In Here) dropped in September 2008 and we are currently promoting it live.
