Munk 777 is the live/electronic collective formed by multi-instrumentalist, composer and

producer Alex Banks. Established in 2007 to provide an outlet for the myriad of musical

ideas that run continually from the depths of his conscious mind, his compositions seek

to take the listener through a world of sonic episodes that are both original and

unforgettable.



Primarily a studio based project with most of the music composed, performed and

produced by himself, he also draws on the musical talents of some of the finest

musicians and performers he has had the privilege to work with. These include the

angelic vocals of Hannah Thomas who featured on Above & Beyond's Dance classic

'Home' (winner of 2008 'Best Underground Dance Track' award at the IDMA in Miami) and

the serene strings of Samantha Rowe (Roots Manuva, Coldcut, Morcheeba) and Elanor

Percy (Royal Philharmonic Orchestra).



In this latest offering 'Fragments' (the follow up to his critically acclaimed debut

'Nocturnalism'), Banks takes the concept of originality in electronic music to new levels.

Drawing on a diverse range of influences past and present, he manages to incorporate

elements that are rarely heard in the same context, exemplifying a level of musicality

and depth, often missing from electronic music.



The result is nine breathtaking tracks of beautiful epic soundscapes with filthy driving beats,

modern electronica production with lush soulful strings and intimate ethereal vocals with

searing melodies and ground shaking bass. Throughout this musical journey lies Munk 777's

distinctive signature sound, heralding one of the U.K.'s most promising up and coming

electronic artists.



Having already achieved global success through his work on Sony adverts and for

leading publishing companies, with 'Fragments' Banks is set to establish Munk 777 as a

rising star of the electronic music scene.



Munk 777 is available for live laptop sets (full live show coming soon), DJ sets and remix work.



The new album 'Fragments' is currently unsigned and unpublished.
