Miss Kitana Blade's name speaks for itself. This Award-winning, versatile female emcee is here to represent strong ladies in the rap game. Nicknamed the Bx Princess, she matches her statu
esque beauty with elevated lyrical skills. Miss Blade was born and raised in the Bronx, New York. Attending an arts school at an early age, Kitana already knew that music was her passion and future. Playing both the piano and guitar, she was exposed to many different styles of music; but Hip Hop will always be her first love. She takes strong pride in her writing style and ability. She also loves the fact that she can keep listeners guessing, as she can switch up her style at a drop of a dime. In her rhymes, she talks about anything that comes to her mind.and moves her soul. Relationships, love, life's dramas, and the highs and lows of the music industry are just a few of the topics she writes about. She loves to tell a story, while still respecting her roots as a battle emcee.
Throughout the years, Kitana has gained a strong following through her lyrics and poetry. She has worked with various independent producers and labels, both as artist and ghostwriter for Hip hop and R&B. She has also performed on television and at venues such as Giants Stadium, SOB's, The Shrine, Ashford & Simpson's Sugar Bar, The Pyramid, Don Hill's, and in New York City's Times Square, to name a few. Kitana has also performed at various venues throughout the South. She has also gained recognition abroad, including the United Kingdom. Her determination and drive, along with support from her fans, led to Miss Kitana Blade receiving the Underground Music Award for "Best Female Rapper of the Year", and most recently the 2012 Underground Music Award for "Most Original Female Artist of the Year".
Kitana is now the host of a new cable television series, "#1 ContendHER", debuting first quarter 2013. The series, under CookiBOX Entertainment, LLC, will highlight video gaming, fantasy, minor and major league sports, animation, electronics, comics and automobiles from a females perspective; including interviews, events, showcases, expos and releases. She has also started her own venture called, The Dojo, which includes "Miss Blade Giveaways" where she gives free prizes to fans that she gets upon her "journey" in the entertainment industry, such as movie merchandise, video games, etc She feels blessed for every experience she has had to this moment, and is focused on continuing on her destined path.
