CH-CH-CH-CHANGES .

So, remember how in 1966 the Beatles decided to stop touring in order to concentrate on their recordings? Well, that's kind of what Movies With Heroes is doing now.

Unless some amazing touring opportunities pop up, we're going to spend our time writing new music and delivering it to you with a bow on top right here on our myspace page.

Some of it we'll sell; most of it we'll probably just give away.

Meanwhile, watch for live, unreleased and old material on our myspace store. It'll be rock-tastic.

So while our overseas friends might not see our faces any time soon, we hope you'll continue to stop by the page, interact and check out some of the new music. Which, incidentally, is going to be way better than anything the Beatles did. Or not. We're not sure yet.

Lots of love,

Keith and Jeff

NOTHING HERE IS PERFECT - out now in the US and Europe

BIOGRAPHY

There are two sides to every story, and the music of Lancaster PAs Movies With Heroes is no exception. For Movies, five years of indie touring, self-released records and uncompromising live shows culminated with the recording of their debut full-length, NOTHING HERE IS PERFECT, on CI Records, followed up by a very successful European tour covering 10 countries in support of Fields Forever (featuring Jon Bunch of Sense Field and Further Seems Forever).

While in Europe, Movies caught the attention of Rude Records, the European home of bands like AFI, the Offspring, Gogol Bordello, MXPX, The Vandals and The Casualties. Rude signed the band, released NOTHING HERE IS PERFECT in April 2007 and brought the band back for another month-long stint from Italy to Scotland and everywhere in between.

The impact was immediate, with Movies appearing everywhere from Zane Lowe’s mega-popular show on BBC Radio 1 to Italy’s biggest rock station, Rock FM, from Kerrang!, Rock Sound, and Metal Hammer to Rock Star, Sonic, Up Magazine and countless more.

NOTHING HERE IS PERFECT, an overpowering blend of the ferocious and the fragile, manages to deliver on two fronts, simultaneously rocking both melodically and methodically. On one hand, you have the cerebral lyrics, the deliberate arrangements and the intricately structured melodies. Its music from the brain, plotted-out with uncanny precision. On the other hand, you have the sound of something visceral and fierce. This is what it sounds like when you go for broke.

Produced and recorded by the members of Movies With Heroes and mixed in part by Ed Rose (The Get Up Kids, Reggie And The Full Effect), NOTHING HERE IS PERFECT is a kaleidoscopic romp through the annals of rock. From the riotous march of “Wake Up” to the black-and-blue groove of “Nothing” to the anthemic pop of “Wildflower,” the band shows in the full spectrum of colors how struggle, sacrifice and angst can blossom into a sound full of purpose and drive. Since solidifying in 2000, the band has shared stages around the globe with the likes of Coheed and Cambria, Dashboard Confessional, Cursive, The Promise Ring, Lovedrug, Pedro the Lion, Relient K, The Juliana Theory, Bayside, mewithoutYou, The Pink Spiders, Jeremy Enigk and more.

With an internationally acclaimed album and more people jumping on the bandwagon each day, Movies With Heroes is poised to become one of the most excitingly honest and emotive bands to emerge from the independent music scene. Like a working-class Coldplay, or the Foo Fighters with a doctorate, Movies With Heroes walks a fine line between the two sides of its story, finding something beautiful in the delicate balance between them.
