Move On Up

Aurelian started deejaying hosting a weekly show on legendary RBS (91.9 FM, Strasbourg, France) at the end of the nineties. Meeting the young guns of his city through the radio, his first collective held quickly a residency @ the main spot from town, La Laiterie. The next step was obviously to release some music and he put all his saving producing some friends he was believing in. The third reference from the label was a collaboration with the Tokyo main men JazzySport Crew and the young kid Inverse Cinematics who released his first ep is now the acclaimed house producer everybody knows under the name Motor City Drum Ensemble. Time came to start producing music and he sold his first beats aged 24 to some french rappers. Some beats later, he built a new label called Deephop and toured for some years alongside house, hip hop and electro artists. Known formerly as dj KM3, Aurelian got hired for deejaying alongside platinum seller french hip hop artist Disiz La Peste, got booked on the biggests electronic events with his band Rouge à Levres and bombed worldwide dancefloors : Paris (Rex Club, Tryptique, Social Club ) / Vienna (Club U) / Melbourne (Horse Bazaar) / Perth (Bakery Artrage) / Bordeaux (Zoo Bizarre) / Berlin (Brunnen70) / Vilnius / Bruxelles and many more. And this brought him to spin records at the sides of Switch, Pilooski, Gilles Peterson, Luke Vibert, Mia and many more house deejays.
Influenced mostly by the Afro-American musics, Detroit Techno, Chicago House, Garage but also by Reggae, Pop, Rock, Jazz, he still shares the same passion for digging music and deejaying, spending countless nights in music meccas such as Plastic People or Robert Johnson. His first releases as Aurelian will drop very soon this year, be on the lookout!
