11 sweet years - from N.S.I. to MOTOR RABBITS
1995
N.S.I. (Narcotic Sexual Intercourse)) are at home in the clubs of the Ruhrgebiet, germany. Their trademark: rough driving punk rock. N.S.I. make sure, that the guys in the moshpits start sweating and all the women break out in sweat too.
Their talent doesn't stay undiscovered for long: soon they are playing with bands like the Upright Citizens, Emils and Peter & The Testtube Babies. An unforgettable, sold out concert with the last band took place in the Zeche Carl in Essen.
But every story needs its drama and so N.S.I. split up after a flopped South America tour and go separate ways.
Heartbroken fans and the big dream of real Rock 'n Roll is all that is left over.
But - no end without a beginning!
Today
It's the year 2005 and Erik aka El Commandante is at a concert of the Kings of ROCK - GLUECIFER!
Nothing is as before - the merciless call of Rock 'n Roll sounds in his ears: No way out - he has to act!!
After all, the N.S.I. band members had promised each other to revolutionise the music world together.
Of course the old members have to be included in the new band: the Senior on guitar and Demolition Boy on bass.
The new recruits are Burn Harper (drums) andthe young and talented Red Fred (lead guitar) who know how to make their
instruments fire off salutes. Their aim is clear - the Rock 'n Roll liberation army starts to rock!! Passion is and stays their main motor and is what helped to build the legend around the band early in 1995.
Many sweaty sessions follow in the rehearsal room. It is quickly clear to the band, that it isn't pure Punk Rock that rules their hearts any longer, but Scandinavian Ass Rock.
A new name - new luck. The Motor Rabbits were born.
Their first gig in Trashbin, Cologne is already legendary!
The future is still to be written:
but one thing is sure - their reputation is spreading!
Rock Stars in Scandinavia and in the rest of the world: beware and make room on stage for them already! ;-)
