"One of the purest emcees of his generation is the only way to describe Motet."

One of the founding members of UPROCK RECORDINGS, a label born out of the love of music and hip-hop culture in its purest forms; EMCEEING, DEEJAYING, B-BOYING & GRAFFITI ART.

I simply love being an emcee and I pride myself on my ability to ride any riddim, groove or beat better than a Grand National jockey. Lyrical precision is very important to me, not just with delivery but also with content so I'm able to relate freely with all demographics, be they tabloid, broadsheet or top-shelf! (Oh, how I love me some top-shelf!)

Been around all types of music scenes, doing my thing on the mic as well as on the turntables, and around '98 I hooked up with some of the pioneers of the Broken-Beat sound Bugz in the Attic. I was introduced to Mark de Clive-Lowe who heard some of my early stuff and like it enough to include me in his "6 Degrees" album live set, alongside Kaidi "Agent K" Tatham, Cameron Undy and DJ Manuel Bundy. (Dread line-up!! Major personal influences and inspirations for me)

Things kinda took off from there on and I was rocking mics all over the place, from performances at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre with full supporting orchestra to rocking 10’s of thousands of people at the DTMF in downtown Detroit, there is no occasion too big for me to leave my mark. In 2000 started the label with my Uprock family, courtesy of a Daz-I-Kue brainwave (Thanks bro!)

Took a break from it all to follow my other true love - Football and spent a season playing in America for the Chicago Fire (that's Soccer to all you yanks. (When are you gonna catch up with the rest of the world and call it by it's real name?!?)

I now have a beautiful Daughter. The most important thing that's ever happened in my life.

The last year or so I've been getting back in the groove and into the studio and can currently be found waxing lyrical on the 'Restless Soul' debut release "Namby It Ain't" which is already touted as the best Broken-Beat tune of 2005. I also had a tune on last years most hotly anticipated album release “Future Rage” by producer super-group DKD – Dego (of 4Hero), Kaidi Tatham and Daz-I-Kue of Bugz In The Attic. My track “Look Who’s Talking” was reviewed as “forward thinking Broken – Hip-Hop”.

In between being a spokesperson for the latest craze of “Extreme Sleeping” and tracing my ancestry to the Lost City of Atlantis, I am presently in the studio working on my debut album which will feature contributions from AdAm RoCk, Mark de Clive-Lowe, Kaidi Tatham, Dego, Bugz in the Attic, Bembe Segue, Phil Asher and many, many more. You've been warned!!

.Did i mention that i really, really like top-shelf??
