Morning Theft is a New York City band, comprised of four guys that love loud guitars and loud drums. Most importantly, Morning Theft enjoys making music together. The band, formed in 2004, has just released its new album, Between Walls, having recorded and mixed it themselves. Morning Theft's live shows involve lots of singing, dancing, jumping, blood, sweat, and ear plugs. Give them a listen and you're bound to have the band's songs stuck in your head for weeks.

Dig For Fire Review: Alternative Press

"It'd be hard to top such classic Pixies tribute efforts as Glue Factory's

'Where is My Mind?' compilation (or Kurt Cobain's entire recorded output),

but the 15 artists on 'Dig for Fire' come out swinging gamely. Covering

Pixies presents a number of unique challenges like wrestling with the

peculiar song structures and legendarily aggressive weirdness, but Morning

Theft are up for it, deftly straddling the chasm between space-oddity and

beauty on "Ana." They Might Be Giants nail the creeping scratchiness of

"Havalina," while Mogwai disappoint somewhat with a too-messy

deconstruction of "Gouge Away." Joe Zipper's "Wave of Mutilation" plays it

conservative with a mostly straight-faced Kim Deal delivery that still

manages to chill. On the opposite end of the spectrum, OK Go reverse their

usually upbeat keyboard pop for a slowed-down, sexy take on "Gigantic"

that allows us to hear the song - and the band - in a way we haven't

before, which is basically what albums like this are supposed to do."
