- MOON

"Moon Trent began his career path in entertainment as a teenage prodigy while producing and appearing daily on KHOP's morning show. He has also appeared on LIVE 105 in San Francisco and B93 in Modesto.
After pleasing crowds on the radio air waves as a personality, Moon redirected his focus to live entertainment. Moon formed indie-bands such as Pale, Brownstar, The Visitors Kimberly, and The JULIAN.
Adhering to indie-ethics he formed the self-managed indie-label timmi-kat ReCoRDS. While guiding timmi-kat, Moon brought along colleagues who performed as part of the M.O.B. (Modesto Organization of Bands). Modesto Organization of Bands introduced indie musicians to the Central Valley and DIY music to the population.
Moon continues to entertain as an indie-singer, song-writer.

"Moon Trent Presents" and "The Orphanage" produce shows in Central Valley venues for Cental Valley
audiences."

About me:
Moon Trent, one of Modestos rock survivors, has moved back to the area. He always has been a supporter of the local music scene. Twenty years ago, he was one of the driving forces behind the Modesto Organization of Bands (M.O.B.) which was a precursor to the Modesto Area Music Association and its MAMA awards. - The Modesto Bee -

from wikipedia: Moon Trent (born in Turlock, California) is an American singer and songwriter who hails from San Francisco. He is a gay Mexican-American who resides with his partner and creative associate David Cole. He manages timmi-kat ReCoRDS, a California independent micro-label dedicated to releasing music from mostly obscure but predominantly gay and lesbian (queer) artists. Moon Trent has recorded full-length albums with the bands Pale, Brown-Star, The Visitors Kimberly, and The JULIAN before launching a solo career in the new millennium. His first solo offering, a dance version of Hard Candy Christmas (originally by Dolly Parton) was released on 12" vinyl in the United Kingdom in 2001 while Moon lived there. Moon also appears from time-to-time on stage, in television, and on radio as a unique San Franciscan personality. He appeared on television in 1999 and 2004 during E!'s airing of the Howard Stern Show live from New York and Las Vegas. In 2007 he released his collection of bands on the CD "Quilt" featuring the solo single and video, "Old School Dance". 2008 saw the release of the "Love Bytes e.p." featuring the single "If We Only Could Find A Way", and in 2010, the third CD entitled "In Person" featuring the single and video "The Burden of Bad Dreams" will be released. All available on timmi-kat ReCoRDS and itunes.
hello hello!-
Many of you know me from KHOPs morning show when it was still FM 104 in Modesto. I was the Producer for Rob Sherwood & The Morning Crew. Some of you were "SHANGHAIED" on your birthday, and forced into the station in silly clothes by your "friends", then humiliated further by going on the air only to be dragged off to breakfast and then to school dressed like that! Each Friday we opened our studio up to the public, and I met many of you there, some of you are still my friends.
I'm proud of once hosting a radio show on KCSS and KBDG, both in Turlock, and being involved in creating the Modesto Organization of Bands (I sang for Pale in Modesto and Brown-Star in San Francisco) and the Rainbow Generation at Modesto Jr. College.

ALERT: I am looking for a few old old friends: Taka Boom, Mark Weinberger, Wes Burt-Martin from New Bohemians, and Debra and Denise Johnson the Goth Twins of L.A. (we went to El Segundo High together. e-mail me with info about them! moontrent@hotmail.com
