Le groupe se forme à la sortie de l’hiver 2006, à un jet de pierres de Rouen, sur les cendres encore fumantes du noise-rock des Fish Driver's, renforcés du chanteur/guitariste de feu-Bunker Palace Hotel (indie-rock). Tout d’abord power-trio, Moon Reapers pratique un rock énergique mêlant au gré de ses humeurs, noise, rock primitif, hardcore old school, et autres qualificatifs plus ou moins pertinents.
Depuis le milieu de l’été 2008, un nouveau batteur a fait son apparition permettant au précédent de passer à l’orgue (sic). Nouveau line-up, nouvelles ambiances, qui permettent au groupe de développer son goût pour les mélodies accrocheuses. Moins ceci, plus cela, qu'importe, Moon Reapers reste avant tout attaché à jouer un rock dynamique qui n’a pas d’autres prétentions que de faire remuer les têtes. Que cela soit dit.
This band got together at the end of winter 2006, a few stones away from the town of Rouen, out of the noise–rock ashes of the Fish Drivers, reinforced by a member of the Bunker Palace Hotel (indie-rock). At first a power trio, Moon Reapers plays an energetic rock, mixing - depending on moods - noise, primitive rock, hardcore, old school and other appellations more or less appropriate.
