Montevideo llevan haciendo sencillamente pop desde el 2002, año en que Damiana y Manu deciden dejar otros proyectos y concentrarse en este grupo que tiene a sus espaldas 3 trabajos discográficos, todos editados bajo el sello Jabalina Música: "Ella y Él"( ep 2005), "Transoceánico" (cd 2006), "Cuando miramos al sur" (cd 2008).
En la actualidad, la familia Montevideo ha crecido hasta 5 componentes, al haberse incorporado sucesivamente Arturo (guitarra y ukelele), Alexis (guitarra) y Miguel (batería). Estos y otros cambios han hecho que Montevideo tome nuevos rumbos y dé por finalizada su etapa y trilogía "transoceánica". Así, con las pilas cargadas y nuevas ideas, el grupo busca su propio espacio con canciones listas para el directo y los escenarios, lugares donde Montevideo es ahora más banda que nunca.
En el 2010 fichan por el sello El Genio Equivocado y editan «Vértigo y Euforia». Además se edita un cd single de «Orillas Plutonianas» que contiene diferentes remixes de diferentes artistas: David Kano (Cycle, Krakovia), Pin&Pon djs, Fizz Moon y Oblique.

Montevideo are a Spanish-Argentinian band playing ‘pop’ since 2002. That very year, Damiana and Manu gave up other musical projects to focus on this new band with 3 albums released by Jabalina Musica Records for the Spanish and South-American independent pop music market: "Ella y Él"(ep 2005), "Transoceánico" (cd 2006), "Cuando miramos al sur" (cd 2008).
Now, the ‘family’ has grown up to 5 members, having joined the band Arturo (electric guitar and ukelele), Alexis (electric and acoustic guitar) and Miguel (drums). These and other changes have made Montevideo to take new musical ways so they put an end to the former stage and their ‘transoceanic’ trilogy.
Then, with renewed energy and ideas, the band is looking for their own musical slot by composing songs ready to be played live on different shows and stages, which are the places where Montevideo can be now considered an actual band.
In 2010 they sign with El Genio Equivocado Discos (record label from Barcelona), releasing "Vértigo y Euforia" including a single with different remixes of the song "Orillas Plutonianas" ('Plutonian Shores') by David Kano, Pin&Pon djs, Fizz Moon and Oblique.
