Monica was born in the north of Sweden, and at a very early age acquired a love for singing. At a very early age she began writing songs.



Shortly after relocating to Stockholm, Monica was chosen to perform on the nationally televised show “Sikta Mot Stjarnorna” where she was given the nickname the “Swedish Whitney Houston”.



The show went on a successful tour in Sweden and also recorded a compilation album.

The album went platinum in Sweden, and doors of opportunity quickly opened up for the Swedish bombshell.



Monica also became the voice of the euro dance project La Cream, which single “You” went gold in Europe.



She recorded the single “Chante C’est Noel” for Euro Disney Paris and was featured as the headliner at the V.I.P Christmas event.



Monica has toured in Sweden, Europe, Africa and the United Arab Emirates with platinum selling artist Dr.Alban, featuring Robin S, Coolio and The Platters among others.



During the summer 2006, Monica relocated to the United States with the dream of releasing an album, and becoming a successful mainstream Pop/R&B artist.



Monica studied audio engineering & music production at the Institute of Audio Research in NYC, where she also performed at their open houses and recorded one of her singles “Finally”.



2007 - She recorded the record “Monica L”, with the producers: Gustav Efraimsson, Tuomas Pyhäjärvi and Joakim Niehoff



Monica has performances in the states include, The Sugar Bar, NYC Urban Music Showcase, The Bitter End, Ace of Clubs, Hammerstein Ballroom, The Village Underground, Bar 169, R&R, Arlene’s Grocery, Don Hill’s, SOB’s.
