Monica~Nicole

Monica-Nicole is an artist who thrives on the possibilities and opportunities to CONNECT. A singer/songwriter from the National's Capital, Monica-Nicole has been on a musical journey since the age of 5, when she fell in love with the sounds of her church as a member of the youth choir. Her love of music and the arts was reinforced at home by her mother who was a gospel singer, her grandmother the poet, and her father the R&B aficionado.
As an early teen Monica-Nicole took classical dance lessons and performed with cheerleading and dance teams. She performed regularly in a duet group with her sister at local churches catching the eye of a BET casting director. Monica-Nicole's sultry voice and emotional lyrics caught the attention of local producers, who gave her the opportunity to write and record original pieces in local studios. She used her original work to compete in talent showcases in DC and Atlanta, notably winning an Atlantic Records sponsored competition.
Monica Nicole was a member of a popular pop/go-go band where she sang leads and background vocals through-out the middle eastern region. As a member of her church's music ministry she has also had the honor of singing background for several musical artist. Monica has a keen ear for vocal harmony that was apparent at a very early age and continues to remain a signature of her original work. Her vocal range includes contra-alto and alto.
