The band MOLYPOP was founded in January 2006 by the musician, photographer and producer El and the writer, songwriter and composer Emmanuel Tugny.
In June 2006 the composer Christophe Boissière joined in, the singer, writer and composer Laure Limongi in february 2007 and the singer and composer Yann Linaar in may 2007. All the group’s members are multi-musicians.
SOUS LA BARQUE (QUAND ON CREUSE) is their first album to be released in 2008 october 3rd LABEL LAURELIPOP (DISTRIBUTION SOCADISC). MOLYPOP’s project, an evolutionary assembly, was to bring about SOUS LA BARQUE (QUAND ON CREUSE) around themes such as Nature and disappearance, in a partnership that brings together the French song tradition and its textual demands with the exuberant, adventurous, rebellious form of the Anglo-Saxon pop song of the 1965-75’s that remains the favorite source of inspiration for MOLYPOP’s members as regards the direction given to the work.
The 2nd ("Big Limousine") and 3rd ("Dry") album will be recorded in 2008, in France and in Brazil, and will include contributions by the songwriter and guitarist Olivier Mellano, the saxophonist Vinìcius Netto, the violonist Heine Wentz, the singers Laïs, Isabelle Senges et Paul-Alexandre Dubois , the trumpettist Alex Prinz, the flutist Amauri Iablonovski, the trombonist Julio Rizzo and the drummer Otavio Moura; Anne Prigent manages the project. The artist Nathalie Talec (www.nathalietalec.com) has also been a member of the group since December 2006.

Le compositeur Christophe Boissière a rejoint le groupe en juin 2006, la chanteuse, écrivain et compositrice Laure Limongi en février 2007 et l'auteur-compositeur-interprète Yann Linaar en mai 2007.
Tous les membres du groupe sont poly-instrumentistes.
SOUS LA BARQUE (QUAND ON CREUSE) est son premier album, il sortira le 3 octobre 2008 chez LAURELIPOP (DISTRIBUTION SOCADISC).
Le projet des membres de Molypop, collectif évolutif, était de façonner, pour ce qui regarde SOUS LA BARQUE (QUAND ON CREUSE), autour des thèmes de la Nature et de la disparition, un alliage réconciliant la tradition de la chanson française et ses exigences textuelles et celle, foisonnante, aventureuse, rebelle, de la pop anglo-saxonne des années 65-75 qui demeure la source de prédilection des membres du groupe aux plans de la composition de la réalisation.
Un deuxième ("Big Limousine") et un troisième ("Dry") album sont en cours d'enregistrement en France et au Brésil, incluant les contributions du compositeur et guitariste Olivier Mellano, du trompettiste Alex Prinz, du flûtiste Amauri Iablonovski, du tromboniste Julio Rizzo , du saxophoniste Vinìcius Netto, du violoniste Heine Wentz, des chanteuses Laïs et Isabelle Senges , du chanteur Paul-Alexandre Dubois et du batteur Otavio Moura. Anne Prigent coordonne le projet.
L'artiste Nathalie Talec (www.nathalietalec.com) est également membre du collectif depuis décembre 2006.

SOUS LA BARQUE (QUAND ON CREUSE) é o primeiro álbum deles. A saida desse album ocorrera o 3 de outubro de 2008, gravadora LAURELIPOP, (DISTRIBUTION SOCADISC). O projeto do grupo MOLYPOP, uma coletividade evolutiva, foi de trabalhar em SOUS LA BARQUE (QUAND ON CREUSE), em torno de temas da Natureza e do desaparecimento, numa parceria reconciliando a tradição da canção francesa e suas exigências textuais com a forma exuberante, aventureira, rebelde, da canção pop anglo-saxã dos anos 65-75, que continua sendo a fonte predileta dos membros do grupo dentro dos planos da composição da produção.
