THE NEW AFFECT formed in the summer of 2008 in the highly creative melting pot of downtown Los Angeles.
The original founding members are singer Michael Mercury and producer Primetime. But when the show goes on the road they bring their hand-picked band with them that delivers high-caliber performances.
Over the last few years they have penned over 300 songs, have had music placed in dozens of network and cable TV shows, a movie soundtrack placement, written for a few major artists and now they are getting ready to launch THE NEW AFFECT to the world!
Their style is "Contemporary RnB".
The sounds are sweet, sexy, meaningful and well-crafted. Musically it's not just about slow & mid-tempo songs and THE NEW AFFECT delivers when the pulse needs to quicken with uptempo songs as well!
