Hailing from Melbourne, Australia, Mandy Kane is an exciting young solo artist with an innate passion for music.



A self-taught multi-instrumentalist, he writes and produces his own material and is regularly compared with the likes of David Bowie, Gary Numan, Marc Almond and Joy Division.



As comfortable on stage as he is in the studio, MK has the confidence and talent to make his songs translate in any environment and has toured extensively in Australia. He is known for his versatility as a live performer and stages his solo electro show utilising electric and acoustic guitars, synth, keyboard and percussion, with a little backing from his trusty laptop.



He is also well regarded for his compelling acoustic shows and when the occasion demands, calls upon a full band.



In June 2006, he was invited to showcase his innovative one-man show to NXNE, Canada's biggest and most important music festival, resulting in a demand for more shows in Toronto as well as New York, where he performed at The Delancey on the Lower East Side.



MK's interest in music was inspired by an early diet of Alice Cooper, Pink Floyd, David Bowie and The Beatles, and he spent most of his teenage years honing his production and songwriting skills in his home studio, and putting a band together to play Melbourne's live circuit.



His journey so far sees him with a critically acclaimed debut album, three ARIA charting singles and subsequent EP under his belt, and having collaborated with such recording luminaries as Chris Vrenna, Joe Chicarelli, Jarrad Rogers and Valgier Sigurdsson.



Currently, when he is not playing live, he spends his time at a professional studio in Melbourne where he continues to write and record new songs, as well as producing and writing for and with other artists.
