Mistri Entertainment is a Los Angeles-New York-Guadalajara based entertainment company which was established in 2004. Mistri Records was founded in 2003 by CEO and Lead artist K-Mex. Originally intended to be an outlet to release his music has become a multi-media company.
This led to the decision of encompassing several business ventures aside from music. Naturally it seemed fitting to merge the label into a full blown company now know as Mistri Entertainment. Mistri Entertainment is the parent company to a number of other outlets including but not limited to Mistri Records, Mistri Film & Television, Mistri Clothing, Mistri Models, Mistri Adult Productions, and Mistri Radio.
Mistri is currently in business dealing’s with a number of investors, major labels and other affiliates to take the company to an international level. As of 2009 Mistri Entertainment has released a number of albums (LP’s & EP’s), and mixtapes, selling over 56,000 copies worldwide on an independent. With a major distribution deal in the works the future looks very promising for the company.
Existing in an industry that is always changing means Mistri Entertainment must too focus on growing and the mainstream is certainly the goal for the upcoming years. Talent signed and associated to the Mistri roster include K-Mex, Phille, Chan$e Money, Mistri Fam, L.S.A., Junior Calie (Royal Music Co-Venture), Favian Faviloso (Royal Music Co-Venture), Los Royales (Royal Music Co-Venture), Dustin Brixton (So Thoro Co-Venture), Big Truck (So Thoro Co-Venture) and Charlie Brown. Several other artists’ are presently in negotiations so make sure to look out for new signings.
Mistri Entertainment is currently working on various projects in all aspects of entertainment and is looking to be a well known name in the upcoming years. Keep your eyes and ears open for new musical releases from all its artist, film & television projects, touring and a nightly live broadcasted internet based radio show. As of February 2009 Mistri Films & Television has been in full force with the addition on Director Kevin Tran to the Mistri roster.
Albums, music videos, mixtapes, performances and film & television projects are scheduled for the upcoming year. All new music is set to be released digitally (iTunes, Rhapsody, Napster, CDbaby, Mistri Websites Etc.) and in select retail outlets (Wal-marts, Targets, Best Buys, FYE, Etc.)
