MISSISSIPPI is the name they gave me. I'm from a small country town in Mississippi named Carthage, and I knew I wanted to make the hometown proud one day. Ive been doing music my whole life. But I really got serious in 2001 when I met super-producer Davix and writing guru Ronnie Lewis Jr after high school, where we collaborated on some early work. Formed a rap group entitled South Connected with two comrades of mine to push the vastly, growing sonic boom of southern music . Been on the block, around the block and under the block. Seen stuff a man should never have to see in a lifetime, especially before 25. Sacrificed so much just to get in bed with this bitch called entertainment and still feeling the bruises from this beast we call the business. So you can say I been through a whole lot. Some of it, the only person I can blame is myself. But whatever the case regardless, I still got stronger and wiser and made it through. Music is vice and virtue. Hip hop is my diagnosis and remedy. And this entertainment game is my curse and gift. I feel if you keep it real within yourself then you can't go wrong. Like my man Bun B say, "I keep pushing."
