Like the oranges he cultivates according to ecological principles Miquel Gil's voice grows directly from the Valencian earth. With his last album Orgànic (sonifolk, 2002) Miquel had opened a new chapter in his career as a musician and earned several awards, i.e. the "Best album of the Year in Catalonia" (enderrock awards). El secret de la proposta de Miquel Gil és que surt directament del més blau de la Mediterrània. No té succedanis, ni cau en les temptacions folklòriques que tant agraden a no iniciats o turistes de la música. El valencià toca fons sense entendre de fronteres ni debats sociolingüístics. Sentir com canta Un silenci, Amaga l'arbre, Katà o Primavera, fa el mateix efecte que posar-se unes gotes als ulls d'aquelles que amplien el camp de visió, perfecte per a aquells que encara no creuen que la cançó és un art que supera les etiquetes.
