MINERAL SANDS are a band of musicians from the city of Melbourne,Victoria.Majestic,cinematic in scope they traverse different terrains, punching out agile short rock songs. then in the blink of the eye, they head into hyperdrive territory,blissfully unaware of time constraints,taking their instrumental songs and atmospheres into different timezones.Minimalist,experimentalist,sleek,slick and angular one moment.Straightahead overdrive operatic, then its Bing Crosby singing to the stars.BIENVENUE voici les minstrels de Melbourne, Victorie MINERAL SANDS



Formed at the tailend of the winter 2002, MINERAL SANDS performed a live musical score to the film "98,3000 :Before Federation" at that years Melbourne Fringe Festival.They have taken their music up the eastern seaboard to the hot city of Brisbane.



MINERAL SANDS will soon release material, however some lucky people have copies of some of the bands music that has been distributed on the street,gratis.These CD's have been given to friends and supporters of the band who get what they are doing.It is great to see their eyes light up when the band gives them the gift of music.Current "unofficial" offering , the "Green Fields" album.Nous aimons les amis de MINERAL SANDS
