Biographie
Chicago born Emily Cole is a singer and composer. Living in Montpellier, France, she is in the renowned "Hippocampus Jass Gang" (jazz à l'ancienne/ragtime/20's/30's). She has recently started two other groups: a jazz manouche or 'gypsy jazz' quartet as wells as an indie folk band to which she writes her original songs/plays the ukulele. She is known for her childlike voice, that can go from an .ethereal Tim Burton-esque murmur to an Edith Piaf wale. Her quirky original songs kept her creativity and imagination flowing during her classical voice performance degree at University. Since then, she has based herself in Europe– first in Dublin and now in France. She is both a travel enthusiast and vivacious young women as one can see from her 'vintageless' blog. Her biggest musical influences include Bjork, Ella Fitzgerald, and Hanne Hukkelberg. In her free time she likes to ride her bike to the Med. Sea, read French Bande-dessinées and dance the lindy-hop.
