DESCRIPTION:
Mike & The Ravens consisted of Mike Brassard: vocals, Bo Blodgett: lead guitar, Steve Blodgett: rhythm guitar, Peter Young: drums and new bassist Brian Lyford who had never played a four-stringer before this show. Ravens manager, Peter B. Guibord, marched Lyford down to Hazen's Music in Plattsburgh, NY earlier that afternoon and bought him a cherry red Fender Jazz bass.

The July 30, 1962 show was billed as the Fourth & Greatest Rock-A-Rama at Rollerland -- Brian Hyland with The Strataones, Mike & The Ravens, WIRY's Ben Everest and a Twist Contest.

This was broadcast live on WIRY AM 1340 out of Plattsburgh, NY. Recorded off the radio to a reel-to-reel recorder in July 1962 and then dubbed onto cassette in the 1970s, the fidelity on this is not up to modern standards. However, the historical value far outweighs the audio quality
