MIKE & RAPHAEL si avvicinano alla musica nel 2000.

Frequentano la nightlife italiana e succesivamente quella europea

partecipando ai più importanti festival di musica elettronica.

Il feeling che si crea tra il DJ ed il pubblico li affascina al punto che decidono

di intraprendere una propria esperienza.

Propongono musica Minimale con influenze Tech-house e Detroit e producono i primi brani.

Si perfezionano e prestano particolare attenzione a nuove sonorità e stili,

in particolare quello di RICHIE HAWTIN.



Nel 2006 danno vita progetto MiniCoolBoyz, MIKE & RAPHAEL suonano Back to Back,

dalla minimale piu’ acida a quella piu’ dura,dallo stile made in Napoli ai Groove piu cattivi.

Si esibiscono sia in Italia che all'estero ed intensificano la loro attività di producer.

Le loro Tracks arrivano nei primi posti della Chart di Beatport (www.beatport.com),

il portale di download MP3 piu’ famoso al mondo e sono suonate dai migliori Dj

della scena Techno Minimal Mondiale.

Nell'ottobre 2008, Richie Hawtin sceglie un loro Remix per il Cd "Sounds from can elles”

distribuito con il Magazine Dj Mag e subito dopo lo fa uscire sulla sua Label “Minus”.

"Varese Ist leer" è il pezzo più venduto dell'album e per molto tempo resta nella TOP TEN

dei brani più richiesti del genere Techno.

Born in 1984, Mike and Raphael discovered electronic music in 2000. They began following italian nightlife and participating in the most important european festivals such as "I Love Techno" in Belgium and "Timewarp" in Germany. During those travels abroad they discovered the magical feeling between Djs and the crowd. Growing up, they began to appreciate new sounds, expecially for te ones created by the techno guru Richie Hawtin, aka Plastikman. Mike and Raphael changed deeply their musical tastes: their current style is a minimal techno music with with detroit and tech-house influences. Thanks to their attitudes, Mike and Raphael managed to play in differents important clubs in Italy. Mike and Raphael play their sets with a mix of common and new hardwares for the best sound possible: turntables, FX and Traktor Scratch technology, creating a perfect mix between a classical Djset and a computer-based Liveset. In 2006 a new project appeared: the MINICOOLBOYZ (www.myspace.com/minicoolboyz). Mike and Raphael began playing back2back, trying to find out new sounds and styles, ranging between acid sounds and the hardest neapolitan grooves.

Their carreer began in various italian clubs s and their first tracks immediatly received great feedbacks from italian and international Dj's.

Not only their music is being played and appreciated by some of the best Techno/Minimal Artists.

MinicoolBoyz (Mike & Rafael), de

la generación del 84, es el nuevo e

interesante dúo procedente de

Milán Italia. Los dos nuevos Dj’s y

productores han crecido con una

profunda actitud por el género

techno clásico y más

particularmente por estilo minimal

de Richie Hawtin. Desde el año

2000 empiezan moviéndose por

los clubes italianos de la escena

electronica y festivales más

importantes como I Love Techno,

reconocida rave belga, Timewarp,

en Alemania. Su inicio como

productores destacan

proponiendo música minimal con

influencias tech-house y Detroit.

Mike & Rafael pinchan Decks ’n’ Fx con una

tecnología Traktor Scratch, creando así una

perfecta mezcla entre un Dj Set y un Live set.

En el año 2006 empieza el proyecto

MinicoolBoyz

(www.myspace.com/minicoolboyz). Mike &

Rafael comienzan de esta manera a exhibirse,

Back to Back, experimentando nuevas

sonoridades y estilos, desde la minimalmás

ácida a aquella más dura, desde el estilo de

Nápoles a los Grooves más traviesos.

Gracias a su talento, consiguen llegar a los primeros

puestos del chart de Beatport (www.beatport.com),

el portal de descarga de MP3 más famoso en el

mundo y sus temas son mezclados por los mejores

Djs de la escena techno minimalmundial.

En octubre de 2008, Richie Hawtin, escoge un remix

de Minicool Boyz para un CD recopilatorio par la

reconocida revista DJMag “ Sounds from can elles” y

enseguida decide editarlo en su propio sello “Minus”.

Die Minicoolboyz aus dem sonnigen Mailand, die europaweit als die Durchstarter des vergangenen Jahres gefeiert werden!



Mike und Raphael begeistern seit 2006 als Minicoolboyz die

europäischen Clubs und Festivals mit ihrem perfekten Mix aus

klassischem DJ-Set und computerbasiertem Live-Set.



Oberguru Richie Hawtin himself zeigte sich von ihren back 2 back-Sets und ihrem Gemisch aus Acid-Sounds und harten

neapolitanischen Grooves begeistert und forderte prompt einen Remix an.



Der Rest ist Geschichte: „Varese ist leer" rockte die Techno-Charts und die beiden 24-Jährigen können sich vor Anfragen kaum noch retten.
