Biography:
Mike Cothrine is a singer songwriter from St. Louis, Missouri. A true bass whose register extends from the bottom of the scale into second tenor rage. So whether a song is acoustic or beat driven, you'll know it is Mike Cothrine when you hear it. Mike has performed all over the country, mostly in the mid-west,and west coast, including performances for President Bill Clinton, and has shared the stage with R&B artist Jon B. and Montel Jordan. Mike has also done several television spots while working for WB11, St Louis Warner Bros affiliate. Experiences at WB11 helped him fine tune and further diversify his abilities as an artist. Mike has continued to sculpt his unique style and talent. His magnetic personality, voice, song writing ability and stage presence makes Mike Cothrine a powerful artist who's destined to touch many.

My hope is to make people feel good, feel where I'm coming from, at least to some extent through my music. I want to be a part of your summer, your first kiss, an amazing night.Just throw on some Mike Cothrine, and let the night unfold:).
Music can be such a powerful thing. It's amazing to me how music can stir up so many emotions or make you flash back to an exact moment in your life, and feel that exact way you originally felt. Or even in an instant, uplift your mood. Whether you're in L.A. traffic, or in a club where they've been playing the wrong songs all night and the vibe isn't much better. It only takes that One song and you're immediately uplifted - just like that your whole mood changes and hopefully you let yourself have the great time you came to have.
So I am very thankful for the ability to create music and be able to put emotion to my words with my voice. In my opinion it's the combination of feeling and the words that help make a song. Sometimes more so the feeling behind the words, than the words actually being sung.
There are so many things I like to do, and appreciate and enjoy one being a love for playing sports, but my love and passion for music has so steadily grown that I realize that I wouldn't be happy if I wasn't making music.
I believe that everyone is blessed with certain talents and abilities, some thing that they were just meant to do. Some passions are clearer to some of us than others. My hope is that everyone would follow their passions even if that means stepping outside the box and comfort zones to do so. What a beautiful thing that would be. So Carpe Diem, yes seize the day, seize the moment. Here's to an amazing life.
