My Mother is from Hobart, Oklahoma and my Father was from Durango, Mexico. I was born the same year Son House was touring Europe performing at the Montreux Jazz Festival, but I never killed a man. I have no children and I never married. I love to play the possession music. Some people call it Black music, but I call it American. Nowadays not many folks know what a lowdown shaking chill is, but I do. Evocations and dark tales remain to be told, the ground is still cold, not much has changed. All that is sacred will always find trouble with everything profane. By nature I'm a gloomy man with a desolate disposition. Some of us know blues so hard we get up and jump. So think once and think strong, speak without fear of right or wrong.
