They call him "A Beast On The Beats", and with that Mighty Fuzz Young was born. Some would consider him intimidating, with his tough aura and his brass – and many times offensive – humor, but Graig "Fuzz" Young has always been one to push the envelope and this shows every time he composes an instrumental. His distinct production brass-knuckle style caters to all popular genres, and this sound stands out no matter what type of track: radio-ready pop hits, hard street rap records, dancehall riddims, and even R&B ballads. His outgoing personality is either loved or hated, but almost everyone agrees that Fuzz's sound is unique, and will make noise in 2010 and beyond.
Raised in a household where music was a part of everyday life, Fuzz has been a producer-in-training for as long as he can remember. With his father and uncle as the manager and lead guitarist/singer of an aspiring rock group, Fuzz has seen first-hand the grueling work ethic, marketability, and networking that it takes to succeed in the music business. His eclectic taste for music stems from growing up in a middle-class Italian household in Ridgewood, Queens -- a neighborhood where one could expect to hear Classic Rock out of a window just as easily as a bass-heavy 808 shaking the block. Fuzz was exposed to the sounds and song structures of the popular songs from rock and urban musical genres, allowing him to create an authentic mix between the two in his own production.
After business partnerships with Illseed Entertainment and Cuckoo's Nest Recording Studio, Fuzz produced his debut project FOR MY GENERALS in 2007. Hosted by 2006's Justo Mixtape Awards Rookie of the Year DJ SUPERSTAR JAY, the project was intended to familiarize the New York streets with his "Fuzion" sound. Together with Chris "Excel" Rodriguez of Weapon X Promotions, they recorded songs with artists such as Ali Vegas, Grafh, Jaz-O, Jin, Tragedy Khadafi, Uncle Murda, Sha Stimuli, Shabaam Sahdeeq, and many more.and also produced several bangers with the members of Illseed Entertainment: First Cousins (Genovese & Gustapo) and Reka The Saint.
After a positive reception for the project, the streets couldn't avoid Fuzz, and in the process of defending his home and his family from criminals he was arrested and charged with a violent crime. Although these stories usually turn out negative, Mighty Fuzz Young has grown even mightier while serving his stint in prison, as he has kept sharp physically, mentally, and musically. He has entirely taught himself music theory as well as how to read, write, and compose music. His success will only grow from here!
