While getting my law degree at Howard University, I created Soul
Rebel NYC, a boutique talent management, development and marketing
firm for emerging artists and personalities in the urban space. Since
then, I've had a hand in some unique and successful
projects. If you'd like to collaborate, feel free to reach out, but let
me tell you a bit about myself first.
During my last year of law school I met Tiara Wiles, a talented young lady who immediately struck
me as a star. After a quick conversation and a couple meetings I
decided to manage her and we've been making great music ever since.
Grab her debut mixtape "This Is Tiara" if you haven't already, she did 60,000+ downloads in a little over a month through our partnership with Frostclick.
At the age of 24 and only a month after graduating from law school
I joined Hot 97's Peter Rosenberg to co-host "Real Late with Peter
Rosenberg" in New York City. I knew Peter from undergrad at
the University of Maryland-College Park and was fortunate to get the
opportunity to join him on the radio station I grew up listening to as
a kid. Now I handle Peter's marketing and event management.
2008 saw the launch of our first webisode series and the digital
release of "A Rosenberg Oddisee", an Ep featuring Oddisee, Saigon,
M.O.P., Nikki Jean, The Kid Daytona, Torae, Skyzoo, Buckshot and Tiara
Wiles. Since it's release we've also recorded with Charles Hamilton,
Royce Da 5'9", Homeboy Sandman and Freeway ("As I Ever Been"). We'll also be relaunching
the webisode series this summer and "A Rosenberg Oddisee 2" is on the
way.
As a marketing/branding vehicle I co created the live interview series "NoiseMakers with Peter Rosenberg" which takes place bi-monthly at 92Y Tribeca. We've had four sold out installments
to date, featuring DJ Premier, Questlove, Q-Tip and Raekwon respectively.
In addition to Tiara Wiles, Peter Rosenberg, NoiseMakers and A Rosenberg Oddisee, I am also developing Harlem r&b singer Chenzira, New Jersey MC Smiffson and collaborating with various clients on marketing and brand initiatives via Soul Rebel NYC. If you have a mutually beneficial opportunity you'd like to discuss, feel free to reach out.
