Michael Richardson has been dabbling in music ever since he can remember. Hailing from a musical family, Michael was the last to enter the music scene, but by far one of the best. He started his obsession with music at an early age singing and playing guitar with his father's group, Rubberband on many occasions.
In 1995, Michael joined the Army and music took a back seat to his new life as a Soldier. After being stationed in Germany, Kentucky, North Carolina, and Missouri, the itch to play music finally became too much. He began playing in an acoustic duo in early 2002 performing in small clubs and bars around Missouri.
In mid 2003, Michael received orders for New York and finally landed close to home. He teamed up with his brother Richie Roccisano and joined original project Hadlock (Rythym Guitar and Backing Vocals). In late 2003, he took his first trip to Iraq and returned 6 months later. He formally left Hadlock in late 2004 as standing in the back just wasn't enough.
In early 2005, Michael became a member in the cover band Shagnasty. This was his first time as a lead vocalist. Although short lived, the experience he gained was monumental in focusing his drive as a musician. At the end of 2005, Michael would return to Iraq for the second time.
Coming home in early 2007, Michael joined the jam band Underfoot. Given the chance to open for Blue Oyster Cult founding members, Joe an Al Bouchard in July 2007, Michael finally found himself on the big stage in front of a huge crowd of people.
In early 2008, Michael formed the hard rock band Seventh Son. The band was easily one of the best groups in the area and put on an energetic show with every performance. However, at the end of the year, the band took an indefinite hiatus to allow the members to focus on personal projects.
2009 brought many new changes for this up and coming rocker. Michael decided to go back to school and finish his education. This has given him the time necessary to slow down and re-evaluate things musically. With things looking up, Michael was given the opportunity to showcase his original music by opening for Howie Day in October 2009. Receiving many praises for his performance, this only fueled his desire to do things on a bigger and better scale. Michael has been very busy writing and recording new original songs along with some of the members from the band. He looks at 2010 as his breakout year and hopes to have his album complete by early next year.
