Michael’s DJ career began with a move to London at the age of seventeen. A club promoter heard one of his mixes and the rest as they say is history. Michael played at some of the city’s most established venues; The Cross, The Aquarium, The Chunnel Club, Koko, Sunnyside Up and the infamous Club UK. .

With more and more gigs his profile was raised. His trademark high energy sets and slick mixing secured sets at the TDV memorial @ Sundissential, Frantic, Convergence and Godskitchen in Birmingham. .

After a number of years playing alongside some of the very best DJ's around he returned to Jersey to start up his own night - Out Of This World. The night exceeded all expectations with more than 700 people attending every week. Bookings included Eddie Halliwell, Fergie, Westbam, Marco V, Oliver Klein, Lottie, Hybrid and many more. This successful night also lead to Michael playing all over the World; his biggest gig to date being over 200,000 people at the World Drum Festival in Seoul, Korea.

Over the last six years Michael has changed both musically and technically. He has a much more versatile sound which fuses all of the energy with less BPM. His style incorporates elements of tech house, house and techno seamlessly mixed together.

Together with studio partner Elcias De Freitas they produce under the name Hooker & De Freitas. Their tracks have caught the attention of the likes of John Digweed, Des Paul (Ministry), Steve Stimpy (Power Promotions), Harry Brown and Nathan C.
